Pronouns

Pronouns: The words that have function to change the name of subject that are used.

1.      You: Awakmu

It can be used in a sentence “Awakmu ancene apik tenan”. It means that people give explanation about other people.

2.      We: Awakdewe

It can be used in a sentence “Gedung iku isok apik gara-gara onok awakdewe”. It means that people give explanation about he/herself who are together with others.

3.      Them: Dheweke

It can be used in a sentence “Uwong iku benci karo dheweke”. It means that people indicate about other people.

[1st pronoun + verb]
aku koncomu
you speak very fast
[2nd pronoun + adverb]
omonganmu kecepeten
he has three dogs
[3rd pronoun + verb]
De’e duwe asu telu
she can speak German

De’e iso ngomong Jerman

[1st plural pronoun]
awakdewe ora bakal teko telat
they bought milk and bread

De’e tuku susu lan roti

 

The object pronoun is used as a target by a verb, and usually come after that verb. For example: I gave him my book. The object pronoun here is him. Here are more examples:
