Happy Javanese is a learning Javanese language site which helps learner to get some lessons about Javanese language. You can learn vocabulary, grammar, phrases, and some examples of daily conversation in an effective and quick way. We also provide some videos to make the learner easily understand about the lessons.

Our target is foreigner who wants to learn Javanese Language. We give some lessons that suitable for beginner. You can learn Javanese Language that commonly used in daily conversation. From our materials, we hope the learner can master Javanese Language by using this language learning site.

Before we go to the lesson, we will give you the description about Javanese Language. Javanese Language is a language used by Javanase people in Java Island, especially Central Java and East Java. There are two kinds of Javanese Language: ngoko and krama inggil. Ngoko used in informal situation (e.g.: talk with your friends) whereas krama inggil used in formal situation (e.g: talk with your parents).

Adjectives

 Adjectives

Commonly, adjectives are words which explain or describe another person or object in a sentence or the words that have function to give additional information or characteristic of something. We can see some examples below:

1.      A red carpet : Karpet abang

It can be used in a sentence “Pak Ramli nyilih karpet abang”. It means that the carpet has red color.

2.      A big doll : Boneka gede

It can be used in a sentence “Adhik tuku boneka gede winginane”. It means that the doll has a big size.

3.      A short pants : Celono pendek

It can be used in a sentence “Aldi tuku celono pendek”. It means that the characteristic of pants is short.

Verbs

Verbs: The words that have function to give information about the activities that people’s do.

1.      Speak: Ngomong

It can be used in a sentence “ Bapak nek ngomong iku rungokno”. It means that people do something, namely, speak.

2.      Sleep: Turu

It can be used in a sentence “Ojok turu ae iki wes awan”. It means that people do activity, namely, sleep.

3.      Eat: Mangan

It can be used in a sentence “Ndang mangan selak entek segone”. It means that people do something, namely, eat.
